Generation Gap

Our parents’ generation was the last in this country to be raised primarily by farmers; we were not exposed to a lot of the things that are involved in having a garden or farm animals; therefore, my wife and I did not grow up taking an interest in gardening or farm animals.

This week’s blog will be devoted to giving you a better picture of why we are helping people get started with a sustainable lifestyle. Most of my and my wife’s generation did not have parents and grandparents passing down knowledge of how to make ends meet with what rain, land, and animals can provide. Nor did we know what we were missing out on.

We want to bridge that gap and bring those skills and knowledge from past generations to you here and now. With that knowledge, you can make the best of both worlds by combining the skills of the past with the technology of the present to make improvements on your quality and standard of living.

We want you to benefit from all our years of struggling through the dilemmas of “How many carrots to plant is enough?” or “Can I really handle owning a milk cow?” We want you to know what to expect with your new lifestyle so that it can be a joy for you to wake up and see what the day holds for you.

Stay tuned for next week’s blog on what it actually cost to live a more self-sufficient life called: “The Numbers”
